Secrets of sea pines

It’s been a few weeks now since I’ve returned from my first golf trip ever. I have been thinking about this place a lot ever since, it’s safe to say that I’m in love with Hilton Head and am already thinking about when I’ll be back. We arrived later than we had planned for and ended up booking our trip a little backwards. This was the first day of 5 straight days of non stop championship level golf, and we were freshly off 27 holes on 4 hours of sleep starting with the renowned PGA tour stop of the Harbour Town Country Club. Needless to say, our games were not up to par. But by the time we made it to the 9th hole at Sea Pines Atlantic Dunes (pictured) we knew we picked the right destination.

Hilton Head is unlike any other landscape I’ve ever visited. It was swampy and felt like a giant zoo filled with golf courses and beaches. I was up every morning walking the beach with countless others, and some bird friends as well. The weather was to die for, always showing off its pinks and purples in the early mornings before some overcast crept in, and finally clearing up to yet another perfect day by noon. I could see myself spending a lot of time on this island.
